Based on the Group Code of Ethics, Shinhan Financial Group conducts various ethical
compliance programs to foster a culture of ethical standards and legal compliance.
The Group Code of Ethics defines the ethical standards and the code of conduct for all executives and employees of Shinhan Financial Group. All members of Shinhan are encouraged to uphold the Code and comply with ethical principles, core values of Shinhan, and relevant laws and bylaws.
Shinhan Financial Group shall respect the autonomy and independence of all partner companies, and recommends that they will faithfully comply with the ‘Shinhan Financial Group’s Code of Conduct for Partner Companies’. Moreover, the Group recommends that business partners will develop and carry out a code of conduct aligned with the principle and philosophy of corporate social responsibilities.
Shinhan Financial Group conducts ethical compliance
education regularly for all executives and employees to
promote awareness on the Group Code of Ethics and

Shinhan Financial Group conducts a self-check program for all employees to raise awareness of legal compliance. All employees are required to sign an ethics pledge annually which reflects the commitment to comply with the Group Code of Ethics and regulations.
Shinhan Financial Group operates the ‘Shinhan Keeper System’, a whistleblowing system to detect and prevent any illegal or unethical conduct. Moreover, each subsidiary of the Group operates its own whistleblowing system.
ISO 37301
and ISO 37001
Shinhan Financial Group received the International Organization for Standardization’s compliance management system (ISO 37301) and anti-bribery management system (ISO 37001) certifications in 2021. By receiving both certifications, Shinhan has been recognized for its excellence in internal control systems and corporate governance on par with international standards.
